Our Founders

Apostle Lawrence S. Smith & First Lady Alice V. Smith

Apostle Lawrence Smith and First Lady Alice Smith founded Refuge Deliverance House of Prayer in February 1994, where services were held in the living room of their home. In October 1996 Refuge Deliverance House of Prayer moved to 1715 Snyder Avenue.

In 1999 the church name changed to Abundant Harvest House of Prayer, and on November 22, 2002, Abundant Harvest relocated to its current home at 630 McKean Street. In June 2014 the Lord called home First Lady Smith, and in March 2015 Apostle Smith passed on, leaving the ministry to his daughter, Pastor Beth Allen.

Apostle Smith was a phenomenal preacher, teacher, and leader. With the support of First Lady Smith, they left a powerful legacy in which they nurtured and ministered to many souls. Their memory will forever remain alive in our hearts.
